Coming confirmations for Cadillac ATS: a new family of compact cars will enter it into production in 2012, with variations sedan, station wagon, coupe and possibly a convertible, on which however is still unclear the type of retractable roof that will be used. A concept was waiting at the Detroit Motor Show, but the scene was dominated by the XTS, which, however, also anticipates the stylistic trends of ATS.

Cadillac is working hard on its new entry-level model, the ATS, proposal should debut mid-class between 2011 and 2012. The ATS, which will deal with models like Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3 Series, is almost ready. At least as a concept car.

Cadillac might take in future years an interesting range solution for the hybrid: for the premium brand of General Motors in fact, the hypothesis under consideration would be to exploit the Two Mode Hybrid SUV big house, which is the system created in recent years the Global Hybrid Cooperation with Mercedes, BMW and Chrysler.

Company General Motors is considering expanding range of engines for Cadillac CTS car through a new eight-turbo Duramax 4.5 liter capacity. It is reported by the American edition of Motor Trend, citing unnamed sources within the group.
Power of the new diesel engine that has attained the cylinder block of aluminum alloy and turbine with variable geometry of the rotor, is 310 horsepower and maximum torque is 704 Nm. As noted by Motor Trend, such an engine already meets the new stringent environmental regulations come into force in the United States in 2010, as well as pave the way for technologies that will allow GM to meet a projected U.S. fuel economy standards. According to their cars in the country by 2020 should consume about 6.7 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers.
